Will bitter melon tablets work for people with type 2 diabetes so they don't have to take januvia (sitagliptin) or metformin?

In brief: Nope

no. There is no clinical effect from taking bitter melon that would be so pronounced as to negate the need for metformin or januvia (sitagliptin).
Both metformin and Januvia (sitagliptin) are however great medications which in combination with a controlled carbohydrate diet work extremely well.
