Why would you take magnesia, a stimulant, and strong coffee after an emetic for berry poisoning?

In brief: See below

Some poisonous berries like pokeweed or yew berries can cause heart block and low blood pressure, so that would be why one would take stimulants like strong coffee which contains a form of xanthine like caffeine.
Milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) may worsen diarrhea and loss of potassium leading to further cramping; however, magnesium by itself may cause relief of muscle spasms. See your dr. & follow treatment.

Dr. Cho is right. Don't do this without talking to a professional! Poison Control can tell you the right thing to do for the berry in question! Don't accidentally cause more harm by nonspecific treatment by sites offering general advice who are certainly not liable for any fool thing they write or advise. Poison Control Hotlines are free and run by and used by professionals, too.
