In brief: Equally effective

Synovial sarcomas when first seen i.
e. in the lower leg/foot area must be resected to obtain cure. If seen late and mets have occurred, in selected areas such as a solitary lung or liver lesion, then resection employed. If multiple mets present then Adriamycin (doxorubicin) and or ifosfamide in combination with carboplat and other drugs may be needed. Chemosensitization studies of fresh tumor bx can help.
