People have many reasons to claim all kinds of "false positives" with drug tests.
Problem with mj is that thc stays in fat of body for quite a long time after last use, especially compared to other recreational drugs. This means some people end up very surprised by positive test when last use was many weeks ago. Not truly a false positive from strictly technical point of view.
