I inhaled quite a bit of water while drinking about two hours ago. I'm still coughing. I'm home alone with three children. What should I do? Help!

If you are talking. your airway is protected. Hopefully you aren't a smoker - that injures the fimbria. Your bronchial tubes will take care of themselves. There are little tiny finger-like structures in the lining of your airway that stroke mucous, water, bacteria upwards away from the alveoli where the air exchange happens. You're going to cough reflexively (I know it's a drag) but you are OK. You may get URI later.
