In brief: Variable

There may be costs approved by insurance companies based on county of service as well as credentials of the provider. Some may not be covered and would be fee for service at tne discretion of the provider.

In brief: Pricey...or free?

The state of california reimburses approximately $95 per acupuncture session when it is covered under worker's comp.
Acupuncture is also often available in large urban areas for as little as $20/session, or on a donation-based pay for group acupuncture. Make sure you know the credentials of whoever you're seeing, and that they're using sterile, one-time only needles. C.

I live in rhodes island.
The cheapest i know of is an acupuncture clinic that meets on saturdays with large numbers of patients being treated by multiple providers for about $20. Another acupuncturist in town charges $100 per session. Many insurance policies do not cover acupuncture. Consider china town if you are looking to save money.
