My 8 month old has a greenish yellowish eye discharge. Is there something I can buy OTC until I can see the doctor?

In brief: Use warm compress
Best relief until you see the doc doesn't require leaving the house -- just dampen a clean washcloth with warm water and use it as a warm compress over the eyes for soothing relief and to moisten and help remove any of the discharge which may be crusting to the eyelashes.
Okay to also give Acetaminophen (tylenol) or Ibuprofen (motrin) for fever/discomfort - follow dosing on package.
