Does deferoxamine cause frequent coughing?

NOT usually. Deferoxamine for injection is indicated for the treatment of acute iron intoxication and of chronic iron overload due to transfusion-dependent anemias. Common side effects are: diarrhea; dizziness; headache; mild stomach pain; nausea; stomach upset; vomiting. Also severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of tongue) cough not listed.
