In brief: Yes

Verruca is a fancy way to say genital warts.
They are often caused by hpv, which is a type of std. Be sure to use condoms to prevent the spread of hpv. It can cause cervical cancer in women.

verruca refers to warts of all kinds: common, plantar, genital, etc, all of which are cause by HPV but not all of which are STD's. Please refer to my explanation above

In brief: Warts

'verruca' is a general term for warts, which are caused by different strains of hpv; common warts are most commonly types 2 & 4; genital warts/condylomata/verrucae accuminata most commonly by types 6 & 11 (low risk for cancer) or by types 16 & 18 (high risk).
Many other hpv types can be associated with these, but these are the most common. Ask fp to explain lab report & significance.
