Any more risks with having lupus/sjogrens overlap syndrome than having lupus alone? Is it possible with good diet & exercise to be very healthy?

In brief: Yes

Diet, exercise, a good nights sleep are very important with this disease.
It is also important to be monitored for kidney disease, to treat the dryness symptoms, and to take meds (plaquenil) to protect your future. Good luck to you.

In brief: No and yes

Overlaps syndromes are less frequents than one isolated autoimmune disease ( like lupus alone).
Some patients have lupus and then a secondary Sjogren's ( instead of primary). Most of our autoimmune diseases are of unknown cause but depends upon your genetics and your environment. Diet and exercise is key to reduce worse outcomes/ cardiovascular complications you can have with these diseases.
