No. War is an experience that changes everyone who is involved. Humans are not made to adjust so easy to the stress, deprivation, and constant fear responses. It changes their hippocampus and deep structures permanently. As Dr. Ali states, the prognosis is good for most, but the vast majority DO NOT get help. Silent suffering is the most common veteran response to post war homecoming.
