For the past month I have been having outbreaks in my mouth around once a week with a little blister on my gum or sometimes tongue. Is this herpes?

Aphthous ulcers. These are likely aphthous ulcers. Vitamin B12 and folate (folic acid) deficiency, stress, menstrual period, NSAIDS, other drugs have been known to be associated with these little recurring ulcers. If one ulcer lasts longer than a week or so something else is going on. We sometimes prescribe a steroid paste to help the pain .
