What symptoms would indicate a blood clot in the thigh?

Depends. Where in the thigh is the blood clot? Is it due to hematoma in the muscle? Is it in a vein or an artery? Hematoma in the muscle will resolve unless there is a bleeding tendency. The other two require medical attention.

Heparin? Your doctor may have given you a shot of Heparin in your leg prior to your tubal surgery to prevent blood clots. This may be the bruise that you are seeing. Blood clots typically occur deep in the leg and do not generally cause you to see bruises. Rather, you would usually have a swollen tender and maybe reddened leg. Read more...
Probably not a clot. I agree with dr. Anderson, a bruise would be an unlikely sign of a blood clot. If you are really worried though, see your doctor. Read more...
