PD Meds &Tremors. Rx for tremor. If a tremor occurs due to Parkinsons disease, it typically is worse on one side, occurs with rest, and reduces with movement. Treatment of a Parkinsonian tremor is normally done with dopamin, especially levodopa-carbidopa (aka sinemet). People who do not find adequate relief with a large dose of this medicine sometimes find a brain stimulator device to be helpful.
