I was diagnosed with HPV 1 year ago. Should I still get the vaccine to block other strands?

In brief: Yes

There is more than 1 strain of hpv, or human papilloma virus, that can lead to cervical or other cancers.
Even if you know you have one strain it is beneficial to get the vaccine, which is now recommended for boys as well. A good adult iphone/ipad app resource for screening and vaccine information is my health checklist 2012.

In brief: Depends

If you are under 26 years of age, i would get the vaccine series.
