In brief: Pituitary Dis
Pituitary gland has two parts, the adenohypophysis produces hormones like fsh, lh, human growth, igf-1, prolactin, and prolactin releasing dactors, acth, beta-endorphine, tsh, melanocyte stimulating hormone.
On the posterior part or neuro-hypophysis: vasopresin or anti-diuretic hormone, oxitocine. Most. Common conditions are bening tumors producing excessive hormone(prolactinomas) or lack of hormo.

In brief: Pituitary tumors
Hi. Pituitary tumors are fairly commonly found incidentally on head MRI scans done for other reasons (so called "incidentalomas").
The majority of pituitary tumors are non-functioning (don't secrete hormones); most of these are of gonadotropin cell lineage. Prolactin-secreting is most prevalent functioning, followed by ACTH, growth hormone, TSH, then LH/FSH. Also see hemorrhage, granuloma, etc
