Does weight training build endurance?

In brief: Specific

Lighter weights with many reps will help build endurance for that specific movement.
Curls will not help you run longer. Being stronger in the upper body will allow you to maintain better form longer and keep you going longer (if your legs permit) by not fatiguing the upper body as quickly. Dynamic weight training will build strength over a greater range of movements. Good Luck

Great advice and understanding above: best to do all: yoga = meditation, isometrics, aerobics, short sprints, swimming: BUT not so strenuous as to hurt yourself. HRS, MD, FACC

In brief: Weight training.

Weight training is more for building strength, and cardiovascular work is more for endurance and stamina.
