In brief: Various
Hemolytc disease can be mild and treated with bili lights.
In extreme cases, it may be picked up early in pregnancy from an antibody screen. If positive, the antibody is identified. If a concerning antibodies present, the blood counts of the baby will be followed closely. Intrauterine transfusions may be required in these rare instances.

In brief: Bili lights
Most of the hemolytic disease in the newborn is from ABO incompatability or rh incompatability.
Both usually cause some jaundice and if it reaches certain levels the baby is put under the bili lights which helps remove the jaundice and resolve the problem. The hemolytic part usually fizzles out.
