In brief: Immunosuppression

Since the condition is produced by an abnormal immune response, the treatment is to reduce production of the antibody that reacts with the basement membrane of glomerulus, the functional unit of the kidney.
Corticosteroids and other immunosuppressant medications are used. Plasmapharesis can be done for severe disease (renal failure requiring dialysis or lung hemorrhage) to reduce antibody amount.
