What is the treatment for ewing's sarcoma?

Treatment is.... Multimodal. Cytoreductive neoadjuvant therapy (vincristine, adriamycin, (doxorubicin) cytoxan, Ifosfamide and etoposide) is used, then surgery with or without radiation tx, then more chemo with the same agents. There are ongoing trials to evaluate new agents and approaches.
Varies. Chemotherapy gives the best chance of cure and prevent metastatic spread. Without it, most tumors spread. Then either surgery, radiation or both are used to control the tumor locally, followed by more chemotherapy. Each case is individual, but surgery is done if it can remove tumor and leave patient with acceptable function. The surgeon, radiation and medical oncologist make the decision together.
