In brief: X-rays, to start

As with any fx, plain x-rays are all that may be needed to make dx.
Interestingly, it is named after a 18th century gynecologist/surgeon. It's fx of one of the three middle metatarsus (foot) bones. Also, interestingly, this type of fracture can occur with simply walking, jogging, particularly in predisposed people (osteoporosis). Diabetics may have it and not know, due to neuropathy-numb feet.

In brief: TESTS FOR LISFRANC

After a complete history and physical, x-rays, including x-ray stress testing, are utilized.
I ALWAYS order a CT scan. Good luck. Dr. Latva

In brief: LisFranc fracture

X-rays would be taken first and if this are inconclusive, MRI would be ordered.
