Surgery

In brief: LAB AND XRAY
Stone(s) in the common bile duct (choledocholithiasis) present with pain and/or jaundice, and can cause pancreatitis, a severe inflammation of the pancreas gland.
Blood tests, ultrasound, mrcp (magnetic resonance xray of the bile duct, ) and/or ERCP (endoscopic exam of the bile and pancreatic ducts) are all avenues used to evaluated cbd stones. Speak to your doctor. Good luck.

Lab work would include liver function studies, in particular alkaline phosphate and bilirubin.
