In brief: It can be hard

The best thing to do, is to find a good eating disorder specialist and to stick with that person.
The more one works on it, the better the outcome. For some, it can be very difficult to get over their eating disorder. About 25% will lose the battle and die. That's because eating disorders can be deadly. But it is possible to recover with lots of work and dedication. It's all about perseverance.

In brief: Tell someone.

The first step is to recognize that you have a problem and tell someone.
Then tell your physician. Get help. This is a difficult problem to fix on your own. Counseling and sometimes medication can help.
