In brief: Sebaceous cyst

Sebaceous cysts are very common problems.
The occur when skin glands get obstructed and sebum builds up. They may get infected leading to redness pain and increasing size. You should see your doctor to have the cyst removed. Until then warm compresses and oral analgesics like acetaminophen and ibuprofen can help decrease the pain.

In brief: See a doctor

You're describing a lump on different parts of your body.
This could be due to a variety of causes. (e.g. viral infection, lipoma) You should see your primary physician to get a physical exam, detailed history and possible blood tests to further investigate the cause.
