Psychologist. Clinical psychologists are usually the doctors who do ASD diagnostic test, but i know some psychiatrists do that too. You can call your insurance to ask for providers who do ASD diagnostic evaluation.

Specialty clinics for autistic disorders do comprehensive multidusciplinary evaluations of cognition, motor skills & neurobehavioral profile including tests of theory of mind, (social understanding) & pragmatics & prosody of language. Not really. Head trauma can create injury severe enough to cause behaviors that may seem similar to those with autism. It does not cause autism itself.
