Why do my lower back hurts every time I have my period? No cramps just lower back pain!

Prostaglandens. During your period, the uterus gives off inflammation hormones called prostaglandens. This creates inflammation in the uterus and causes uterine contractions. The pain from the contractions and inflammation causes low back pain. Anti-inflammation medications such as Ibuprofen, Motrin, Midol, Naprosyn, (naproxen) etc. will decrease the inflammation and ease the pain. Best wishes!
