Can toxoplasmosis IgG take time to reach positive level after Igm return to normal? I recently had 2 positvie Igm tests now negative but so is Igg.

It can ... IgM is the acute(rapidly formed) antibody against Toxoplasmosis that is initially formed but then your body will start to form IgG antibodies(assuming it's not severely immunocompromised). But if the two IgM/IgG tests are >2-3 weeks apart and still the IgG's remain negative, there is a possibility of a false (+) IgM antibody test. . Read more...

My wife is 3 weaks preagnent an she had her toxoplasmosis test and tested positive with Igm 7.05 and IgG 81.0.is there any risk on the fetus Thx?

Toxoplasmosis. Highly improbable that she has had acute Toxoplasmosis during pregnancy. This pattern suggests old infection. If she ever becomes profoundly immune suppressed it is possible to reactivate Toxoplasmosis and so her doctors should be aware of the prior history of exposure. It is one of those organisms that once having acquired you never get rid of. Fetus should be fine. Read more...

Pregnant. Tested negative for toxoplasmosis for both igm and igg. But, lab says pending on iga and avidity tests. If both negative why iga and avidity

Different tests. Toxoplasmosis testing can be done to determine past infection Ig G and recent infection Ig M. IgA testing is not typically done but you could ask your doctor for clarification on what it was tested in this way. Read more...

My IgM titres> 1:800suggestive of toxoplasmosis, igg-ve, now m 5 weeks pregnant, I get this test approx.3wks back, is it safe to continue pregnancy?

Congenital toxo. This pattern of antibodies is suggestive of acute infection, but the duration is unknown. You may not have any symptoms from the infection. Most infected infants do not have symptoms at birth but can develop serious symptoms later in life, such as blindness or mental disability. Occasionally infected newborns have serious eye or brain damage at birth. Decisions are always the mother's. Good luck. Read more...
You must exclude. the diagnosis of a primary infection in pregnancy by further testing. In all cases of a first-time infection, the IgM level will rise to significance. Yours was "suggestive". If the IgM is not positive, AND you do not develop IgG-specific antibodies, then you did not have a primary infection; your fetus will not be at risk of infection in this pregnancy. Now would be a good time to repeat titers. Read more...

Igg of 156 for toxoplasmosis, IgM was negative. Active or distant infection? Since IgG is so high, could the IgM just not be + yet? 11 weeks preg.

Distant. With a high igg and a negative igm this is supportive of exposure in the remote past. Igm would not turn positive after igg is already elevated. That said, it's not clear from your question why your toxo titers were tested in the first place, and i suggest you discuss the results with the provider who ordered them to be clear. Read more...
