In brief: See your doctor
The screening tests are not foolproof and need an expert review by someone who sees a lot of dementia.
..This comes from a dementia expert....So see your family doctor or see a gerontologist, neurologist or geriatric psychiatrist for a more expert opinion.

It is not proven that routine screening for dementia is beneficial.
However, if concerned, some tests are good for picking up possible dementia (need to be confirmed with more evaluation). One simple test is the "animal naming" test, where one names as many possible in one minute. 12 or more is normal. For more info on proven screening tests, check out the Prevention Checklist iPhone/iPad app.
