In brief: Biopsy
Biopsy of the mass would be definitive and conclusive.

There are many different types of brain cancers. Brain cancer may be suspected from imaging studies, definitive diagnosis requires examination of the tissue by a pathologist.

In brief: Mri
The best test is an MRI of the brain, no test is as reliable as an mri.
Howver, the right set of images has to be done--so the radiologist has to be informed this is a diagnostic concern.
