I was given trazadone, zoplicone and seroquel (quetiapine) at bed time for severe insomnia and anxiety is it safe to take the 3 together??

Sedation. i could not find a drug listing for "zoplicone" Could you mean zolpidem ( a sleep aid)? I note that you take oxycodone. The combination of these drugs can cause significant sedation, and care is needed. Suggest you discuss the use of these meds with your doctor. Please be careful.

I take temazapam 30mg. For anxiety/panic disorder. My doc also gave me seroquel (quetiapine) 100mg. For insomnia. I don't like it, can I take trazadone instead?

Get 2nd opinion. I'm going to go out on a limb & make myself a target but i can't rationalize using seroquel (quetiapine) as a drug solely for insomnia, at least not if you aren't being treated for schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. There are "safer" drugs approved for insomnia w/o risking extrapyramidal symptoms, tardive dyskinesia, weight gain, high cholesterol & high sugars. Trazodone has none of these side eff. Read more...
For sleep! Temazepam is meant for sleep. It is not meant to be prescribed during the day for anything else, unless you've already tried the other meds for panic disorder, including antidepressants and other benzo's that are for daytime use and unless you are allergic or have had addictions to the other benzos. Trazodone is not necessarily the best drug for a man because of possible side effects. Read more...
A/ w Dr. Pappas & Lin. I try to avoid using seroquel (quetiapine) as monotherapy for insomnia alone. However - many physicians/ psychiatrists do use if for this purpose. Please don't make any changes to your medications without consulting with your prescribing provider first. Read more...

Insomnia bad, I put on Prozac 10 mg and trazadone 50 mg. Taken 2 days. I was taking serqouel 50 mg & worked for a while but stopped working. Dr. Said stop seroquel (quetiapine) since given new meds, what do ido?

Talk to your doctor. What happens next depends on what you were being treated for in the first place. Talking to your prescribing dr. About your symptoms following the change of medication will help him/her determine if the change is necessary or if any other course of action should be taken based on your diagnosis. Good luck. Maybe more trazodone. You have to talk to your doctor about what to do. We can't advise or treat you over the internet. But here's something to consider: seroquel (quetiapine) 50 mg is stronger than trazodone 50 mg. The latter is usually a better choice for insomnia, but the dose may need to go up. Prozac (fluoxetine) may help depression or anxiety that interferes with sleep, but it takes a few weeks to work. Good luck. Read more...

My insomnia is caused by mania at night, which started at age 3 wasn't treated till adult, trazadone, klonopin, seroquel (quetiapine) 4 sleep dreams vivid, safe?

Sleep disorder. Insomnia should be treated by eliminating the cause. Using medications masks the problem temporarily. The most effective therapy is practicing a good sleep hygiene. Make sure the bedroom where you sleep in promotes no other activity other than sleep. There should be no tv , no book reading, no eating, no computer, laptops or cell phones. The medications may have side effects, discuss with your md. Read more...
Maybe. If your insomnia is the product of a mania from bipolar disorder, then the medication combination you list is appropriate. However, if you are still having vivid dreams on that combination you need to talk to your doctor about tweaking it. In my experience, vivid dreams can be either a side effect of trazodone or from continued mood problem (i.e. Mania). Read more...
