In brief: Stimulant

Dextroamphetamine is a stimulant that has been around since the 1930's and has been used in a number of ways.
It does many things, including shrinking blood vessels and increasing brain Dopamine activity. Current approved uses are for adhd & narcolepsy. In past, was used for nasal congestion and appetite suppression and depression. At convention doses, pretty safe; high doses dangerous/lethal.
