In brief: Constipation

Constipation is passing hard stools, not necessarily if you don't go every day.
If you have hard stools, increase your water intake (make sure you drink enough that when you pee it is clear, not yellow!) Try Miralax- a stool softening product. Do increase your exercise- it also gets your abdominal muscles moving! Try a probiotic (Acidophilous). If you continue with problems, see your doctor.

In brief: It may be normal

The normal range for frequency of bowel movements is 1-3 times a day or as infrequent as 3 times a week, so every 2-3 days may be normal for you.
Constipation would be present if the stool is difficult to pass, hard, you have to strain, etc, but the "in"frequency, per se, is not the definition of constipation. Push the exercise (daily 30+ minutes) and water (8 to 10 glasses daily!):)
