I've already had a TTE, holter monitor & stress test, what would other tests would an electrophysiologist do to find the cause of my tachycardia?

Electrophysiologist . An event recorder and maybe an implantable loop recorder if necessary .
Event monitor &or EP. If the aetiology of your tachycardia has not been diagnosed as yet, then you might need an event monitor. The yield on a Holter monitor is only good if you have your symptoms while wearing it for the 24-48 hr span. 30 day Event monitor may be warranted to pick up arrhythmia. Or based on symptoms, maybe map it with invasive EP study.
Event recorder. Hi Shane! If the tachycardia is not daily and instead is intermittent, a 2 week recording device such as Cardionet is given to you to increase the likelihood of recording the tachycardia when it randomly happens. Once the tachycardia type is identified, it then can be treated.

Is it normal to feel your heartbeat even when it's at 68 BPM and I've had all tests holter monitor stress test and Echo and bloods and all was normal I also get SOB so what could it be? .

No, Nl=Common & this. not so common, yet does not mean a problem. People commonly ignore their heart beat consciously. Yet given intensity of the muscle contraction, including resting rates & heart outputs, becoming aware not that difficult with practice & focus. Exercise stress test, 24 hour holter monitor, echo doppler test--which is done first?

For what? These tests provide different information and have different indications. Stress tests are to look for evidence to support a diagnosis of symptomatic blocked coronary arteries. Holtor is used to evaluate for dysthymia. Echocardiogram is useful to look at the heart valves and other features. Choosing the right test depends on what symptoms you are having. What test is better to test for a heart prob...A stress test or holter monitor? I see my dr. On fri. And I want to ask for one of those 4 some answers?

Might need both. Depending on the type of problem you're having, you might need both kinds of test. The stress test will check how your heart performs with physical exertion; the holter checks for rhythm disturbances only. You could describe your symptoms to your doctor, let him/her examine you, and allow him/her to recommend how to start. Consultation with a cardiologist might be recommended also. Read more...

I had one pair of ventricular ectopic beats on my holter monitor. Their were also 37 isolated. Is this normal? Echo & stress test were fine.

Probably 'begnin' The electrical system of the heart sends regular pulses to the heart muscle to signal it to contract. Many things can disturb this natural rhythm eg electrolyte abnormalities (low potassium or magnesium), excessive stimulants eg caffeine, alcohol, nasal decongestants, certain asociated conditions such as mvp (mitral valve prolapse), anxiety, hormonal fluctuations, etc. Read more...

Tightness in chest while/after half an hour walk. Negative EKG's, 48 hour holter monitor and stress test. What could be causing me this tightness?

Not cardiac. A negative stress test test, plus your age make it very unlikely that this is a cardiac issue. The discomfort is then likely from your lungs, chest wall, or gastrointestinal tract. See your doc to get this further evaluated. Read more...

Frequent pvc's at rest/active. Normal ekg's, treadmill stress test, currently wearing a 14 day holter monitor. Could my period be inducing the pvc's?

Unlikely. When a holter monitor is used, up to 80% of apparently healthy people will have pvc's. Your normal 12-lead ekg and exercise tolerance test will exclude the presence of most underlying heart diseases which can account for frequent pvc's. Other possibilities include lung diseases, sleep apnea, nicotine, caffeine, alcohol, and other stimulants. I don't think frequent pvc's are associated with menses. Read more...
