If my AST level is 52 and ALT level is 67, should I still drink alcohol? I don't drink that often maybe once to three times a month.

Might confuse workup. Probably best not to, until it is known why the liver enzymes are elevated. Acetaminophen, alcohol, and NSAIDS like ibuprofen are common reasons for liver tests to be elevated. If the liver is injured, these three are best avoided. Mild NSAID related liver enzyme elevations often are not accompanied by significant liver injury, but they can interfere with workup and confuse the issue.
Not good idea. Until the reason for the elevated enzymes is known, and the levels have normalized, it would be a good idea to avoid alcohol entirely. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
