In brief: Hormone Imbalance

This is indicative of some sort of hormone imbalance.
It could resolve spontaneously without treatment. Stress and illness are common causes. If it persists, see your provider and check it out!

In brief: Delay of menses

At30, with a history of normal cycles, a delay for 53 days is usually caused by failure to ovulate.
This is commonly a result of sudden stress or depression. Rarely , a tumor of the pituitary will block the signal to make your ovary function. Obtain a serum HCG test: if negative , ask your provider to order a serum prolactin level and a follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) level.
