My daughter is 12, she had xray on wrist, n report it sd her bones were skeletally immature. What does this mean?

At 12 her growth plates at the ends of bones should start to get smaller, and her bones should look more dense on xray.
Focus on good nutrition and milk products. In the near future i would recommend getting another xray with any injury to hands and upper extremities especially when falling onto outstretched hands.

Years ago they discovered a single x-ray of the growth centers in the wrist/hand could confirm the progression of skeletal maturity.That would allow identification of kids who had conditions that advanced or delayed growth.The term just means her skeletal maturity is less than her chronological age.Not why.
