Just to clarify gamma knife is typically used in the head and neck region.
Other radiation techniques such as stereotactic body radiation can be used to treat areas such as the prostate. Also, there are two type of brachytherapy: seeds (ldr brachytherapy) and high dose rate (hdr brachytherapy). Hdr does not use radioactive seeds.
