In brief: Bad breath

Chronic bad breath may be due to: smoking, chronic dental decay and periodontal infection, abscessed tonsils, certain lung conditions like brochiectasis, chronic sinus infection, certain foods (if consumed regularly), and there are a few genetic causes (unfortunately, as yet there are not readily available tests for these conditions).

In brief: Halitosis,bad breath

is caused from the poor dental health, tooth decay.
and may be a sign of other health problems. Also the type of food you eat or other factors like smoking can effect your breath. Rec.: see a dentist to fix your cavities and determine the cause of the problem and proper treatment. Dental cleaning is the first step for the healthy smile.

In brief: Heliobacter pylori

This could be from bacteria in your stomach.
You should check with your Primary MD concerning this if your Dentist doesn't have any better ideas.

In brief: Many possibilities

The most common reason for persistent bad breath is forgetting to brush the tongue.
There are some esoteric reasons that might be the cause, but lack of tongue brushing is the by far the most common.
