Strain. You may have strained your leg or torn it. If pain is severe, get checked at an urgent care. Otherwise try some Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, ice and crutches.
You're overdoing it. As a member of the US running streak assn, I believe in regular exercise, but you must know when to scale things back. I believe in hard/easy alternating workouts. You may be dehydrated, or your electrolytes may be off, or your muscles may be cramping from fatigue or improper shoes. Would help if we knew what exercises you were doing?
