How long should it take for a swollen lymph node to go down?

Typically 2-4 wks.. Swollen lymph nodes are reactive to infection of some types and these nodes tend to subside in 2-4wks time. Some may persist much long if chronic-active infections such as hiv/monos etc. Obviously cancerous node tend to persist and grow as well..So if a node is not subsiding after a few wks, check with your doc...Good luck.
