My son is one year old. He was born at 29 weeks' gestation, with a birth weight of 1390 gm. He did have a grade 1 intraventricular hemorrhage. Concern?

In brief: PREMATURITY
Most premature catch up with term babies.
The fact that your son is now 1 year old and no problems with seizures or any other complications of prematurity he must be thriving well. Good luck !

In brief: Yes
Just being born so premature plus the intraventricular bleed increase the future possiblitiy of some learning differences.
He certainly will have catch up in his overall growth but watch carefully his development and if any concerns intervene early.
