Can a bad circumcision cause a micropenis? I believe it happened to my 9 yr old, he had a bad circumcision at birth, seems to be real small. Fixable?

In brief: Micropenis v trapped
Micropenis is very small both in length and width & not caused by circumcision.
Trapped penis can result from excess shaft skin removed, glans will be of normal width & normal shaft can be felt from outside the skin. Boys with a trapped penis from suboptimal circumcision may have discomfort or pain with erection. Either way penises look small in overweight boys due to a thick prepubic fat pad.

In brief: Really a micropenis?
Micropenis is something an occasional boy is born with, and is visible before the doctor does the circumcision.
So, he would have told the parents if the penis was teeny-weenie. If the glans (head of the penis) is still there, then the penis is all there despite the circumcision. Also, at the >15 check-ups a 9-yr old has had, the doctor would have discussed micropenis if it looked really tiny.

In brief: Not caused by circ
Your son needs to be seen by his doctor and possibly referred to a specialist.
Circumcision does not cause micro phallus, (or micropenis), even when it is "bad". Micro phallus can be associated with certain hormonal problems, so if your son really has a micro phallus, then these need to be investigated. He might benefit from testosterone therapy if his testosterone levels are low.

In brief: Concealed penis
Most likely has a retracted or concealed penis.
It may resolve with puberty but can be surgically corrected. Generally not the result of a poor circumcision.
