Tingly numb feeling one side of face and tongue all afternoon. Had a CT and MRI of head 2 weeks ago = normal. Causes please. Should I worry? Nerve?

Anxiety. Anxiety and panic disorders can cause numbness in the face. A normal MRI of the brain excludes a variety causes including a tumor, sinusitis, multiple sclerosis, or other intracranial structural lesion. However, should the symptoms worsen then a neurologist should evaluate you. An MRI of the cervical spine and a lumbar puncture may be included in further studies to determine the cause.
