In brief: Gargle and avoid...

Since you mouth is teeming with bacteria, and the sore is the result of a herpes reactivation to due the virus perceiving stress: 1.
Reduce the bruden of bacteria near the wound by gargling with listerine or salt water 60seconds twice a day until the sores go away (the bacterial load near the sore may delay healing), and 2. Avoid sour, citrus, acidic, spicey foods which will irritate the sore.

In brief: Nothing to take

There really is no bandage you can use to help a cut in your mouth.
It will just take time to heal. Watch spicy and acidic foods in all situations. As for canker sores...There are some medicines that can ease the pain and perhaps shorten the duration..But those have to be taken very close to the initial time of the outbreak.

In brief: Ointments

There are several prescription ointments for canker sores that sooth and heal.
There is also an ointment called kenalog (triamcinolone) in orabase that acts like an oral bandage to soothe and protect. You should consult your dentist.
