In brief: Peripheral vascular

Peripheral vascular can refer to peripheral artery disease (PAD) or peripheral venous disease.
PAD can be caused by aging, smoking, high lipids / cholesterol, and genetics among other things. Being elderly, smoking, and diabetes are biggest risk factors. Venous disease is typically genetic (inherited venous insufficiency), but can also be caused by blood clots & trauma to the veins.
