My brother was just diagnosed with eosinophilic esophagitis. His GI prescribed a fluticasone inhaler. Is there anything else he can do in addition?

In brief: Food allergies
Allergists are very tuned in to eosinophilic esophagitis, particularly in young people.
Food allergens may contribute, and a search should be undertaken to identify then exclude offending ingestants. Entocort has gained popularity as a viable treatment option. If your brother suffers from gerd as well, a standard ppi (acid blocker) drug should be considered too.
