In brief: Throat pain

The question isnt specific enough.
Acute sore throats can be due to viruses or bacteris (like strep), allergy, others. Chronic sore sore throat can be due to acid reflux, infection, cancer, etc. It has to be checked by your doctor or ent. Common remedies are gargle with warm salt water, chloraseptic spray. Drink plenty of fluids. A cup of tea with honey/lemon may help.

In brief: Folk remedies

For significant sore throat with swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see physician & get a streph throat test.
Consider tylenol (acetaminophen) or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications. Saltwater gargles: mix 1 tsp salt in 8 oz warm water – gargle several times a day. Or gargle with aloe vera juice twice a day. Add honey & a small amt. Of lemon juice to chamomile tea.
