In brief: Nasal Septal Piercin
Nasal Septal Piercings can be fraught w/ problems.
Significant deformity may result from complications like necrosis of nasal wall or perichondritis. If stud grows into skin, it may need to be cut out. Nasal jewelry could be aspirated into lungs or swallowed. A number of types of bacterial infections are possible (red, swollen, warm, tender, painful w malodorous drainage). Have you tried Tylenol (acetaminophen)?

See your doctor if you believe you may have complications. Bottom line - septal piercings can cause pain.
