In brief: Telehealth
Telemedicine is wonderful.
You can get patients in rural settings access to a full variety of specialists on a flexible schedule. It cost less. Most patient feedback is very positive on the experience. If it were not for this technology, many specialties would be totally unavailable to small towns. This is a growth industry.

In brief: Gradual improvement

This can improve treatment, lower cost and certainly eliminate unneeded travel for these conditions.
