In brief: Anyone

Large intestine cancer, more commonly called colon cancer, is the 3rd most common cancer killer in both men and women.
The vast majority of cases occur after age 50, but it can occassionally occur in younger adults. A family history of colon cancer increases your risk, but the majority of cases occur in people with no family history. Small intestine (or small bowel) cancer is rare.
